A. Any person who is sent a notice of suspension under AMC 4.32.170 may appeal the suspension action to the City Council by giving written notice to the City Recorder within thirty (30) days after mailing of the notice of suspension. The filing of a notice of appeal shall stay the suspension until disposition of the appeal by the Council.

B. The City Manager shall place the appeal on the City Council agenda to be heard within thirty (30) days of the date of filing. At the hearing, the appellant and the Police Chief shall be given an opportunity to present whatever facts or arguments they deem relevant to the suspension of the permit; provided, however, that the City Council shall not review any dispute concerning the validity of the false alarm charges.
