The Forest Lands Commission has as its primary purpose the protection and enhancement of conditions of late-succession and old-growth forest ecosystems on city-owned forest lands to provide high quality water for domestic supply. The role and responsibilities of the Forest Lands Commission were first established in February 1993 pursuant to Resolution 93-06 and have been amended by Resolution several times. The City council desires to codify herein the establishment of the Forest Lands Commission. (Ord. 3003, added, 02/18/2010)
