A. Responsible Party. The person or firm normally making payment for water service at a particular location is responsible for the payment of the sewer user charge.

B. Vacant Uses. Sewer service charges shall continue to be levied against the service recipient until a request for discontinuance of water service is received for the particular location.

C. Billing and collection of sewer user charges shall be set forth in Chapter 14.02 of this Title, except that the City may also enforce the collection of delinquent sewer charges by withholding the delivery of water to any premises, and may use such other means for collection as provided by State laws or the City Charter, and any delinquencies may be certified to the Jackson County Department of Assessment and Taxation for collection in the manner set form in Oregon Revised Statutes, Section 224.220

D. Rates and charges shall be billed approximately monthly and shall be declared delinquent if not paid on or before twenty (20) calendar days from the date of mailing of the charge. (Ord. 2314 § 1, amended, 1984; Ord. 1775 § 3, amended, 1973)
